Bridal​

 

Tailoring by Rios specializes in bridal alterations. We have developed a reputation as the best bridal tailors in North Texas. We offer a wide range of services for wedding gowns and bridesmaids.

Bridal appointments are 45 minutes long. We suggest starting the process at least 10 weeks before the first time you need the dress (for pictures, for example). The process from start to finish can take as long as 12 weeks, so the more time we have, the more likely we will be able to get you in. Our appointments are scheduled out several months in advance, so please call us as soon as you can.

Typically, a wedding dress will require 3 fittings. The first fitting will be initial pinning and consultation to discuss any changes you want to make. The second fitting involves a basted fitting (the alterations will be prepared by hand and not cut or finished). At this point, we fine-tune and adjust any alterations. At the final fitting, the dress is completely finished, but we ask you to try it on again to make sure you’re happy with everything.

Our pricing is based only on the alterations that are completed – we do not charge for fittings. Occasionally, we may ask you to do an extra fitting or two if the alterations are more involved. This would not affect the final price, it’s only so we can do a better job. We will quote you an estimate immediately after the first fitting. Should you choose not to leave the dress with us, there will be no charge. If you do decide to leave the dress with us, we ask for an initial deposit. The balance can be divided among the fittings or paid at the final fitting.
